Caravan Underfloor Insulation
Ingoldmells, Skegness & Mablethorpe
Most static caravans are situated on grass, gravel or concrete and can be at risk from rising damp and adverse weather conditions. Caravan underfloor insulation not only saves money on your energy bills, keeping you warm in the winter and reducing condensation but also provides many other benefits.
Heat Loss
Heat is attracted to cold floors, so even with the heating on you feel less warmth because the cold floor draws the heat down preventing the heat from circulating around the caravan.
Caravan underfloor insulation prevents cold air from penetrating the floor, reflecting the cold air away whilst also reflecting the heat inside the caravan back. This makes the internal temperature warmer and allows the heat to efficiently circulate.
Moisture Barrier
Many static caravan parks have high levels of ground water which means all this moisture underneath your caravan can cause problems if it starts to permeatate through the floor. This can be seen by large amounts of condensation inside the caravan making furnishings feel damp and cold.
Caravan underfloor insulation acts as a barrier to the moisture preventing it from penetrating through the floor of the caravan.
Warm Air Loss
All static caravans suffer from air leakage through gaps where pipes exit through the floor.
Correctly installed caravan underfloor insulation can dramatically reduce the air leakage by efficiently filling the gaps.
